Wurlitzer "Martin Handcraft" Alto Saxophone C1930s

Units in Stock: 1
Here is a Wurlitzer American "Martin Stencil" Alto Saxophone. Made in the U.S.A and looks very much like the Martin Handcraft model of around 1930.

This superb playing alto received a complete re-pad using premium Pisoni and domed steel resonators some three years ago, as such it is in very good playing order, ideally, it desperately needs to be played to bed everything in. The previous owner decided playing sax was not for him and unfortunately it was never taken out of the case so has sat un-played until recently. It has been checked over and there are no playing issues.

Cosmetically it is in fair overall condition, it has the original finish with expected marks, the bell bow has had some denting removed in the past and has some solder residue marks as shown, there are mild dents on the bottom C Guard and the odd pin dint, though nothing which affects playing. This is not ideal for any student player and does not have front F. I have added a good fitting neck plug which is vintage but in silver plate to save the octave key from damage.

Ideal buskers or gig horn.

Offered with hard shell carry case in good usable condition.

Now with a vastly reduced price to clear so comes with a 7 working day trial only.

This is a lot of sax for the price and ideal if you adore that smoky Martin tone.
