Unique Boosey & Hawkes Majestic by Schuster Bb Plateau Clarinet

Units in Stock: 1
Here is an extremely rare if not unique Boosey & Hawkes 'Majestic' Bb unibody plateau clarinet with all pearl buttons and almost Sax fingering system, or any saxophonist would find this far easier to play than a standard Boehm.

This fine clarinet is very unusual and research shows it was likely to have been stencilled by Eugen Schuster C1930+ and has a serial number of 726328, however, the 7 is dropped to the left which is rather unusual, also Wurlitzer made clarinets and Eugen Schuster only manufactured saxophones but both companies used the majestic name, it is a company that Helen from Bassic sax is also researching.

Within the gallery are photographs of a Saxophone stamp and a mouthpiece sporting the Majestic logo and it is identical to the one on the Boosey.

Fully adjustable key work and includes a very tiny Bb bis key and large wrap around G#, the system is somewhat Oehler Albert mix and the ergonomics are very good for a very old clarinet, it has been played extensively and the plating on some keys shows this, it is a rather remarkable instrument with beautiful broad tone and would suit many genres especially dixieland.

Another update on this and it may be Oehler/Albert or 'Gedeckelt' ( Capped)

Overall it is in good original condition, it has marks and nicks to the wood as shown but no cracks or repairs of this nature, included is Henri Selmer C85 120 mouthpiece with it as seems to suit it rather well.

Re-padded using premium Pisoni pads, springs where needed and regulated into excellent playing order, this clarinet is offered with 12 months guarantee, please see terms.
